The Jesmond Lookout anchored a popular recreation site on top of Jesmond Mountain. It was built in 1971 and staffed from 1972 to 1999. The tower was originally built by the British Columbia Wildfire Service.
Prior to its destruction by the Fiftynine Creek Fire on July 17, 2026, the lookout had been under the stewardship of the Clinton and District Outdoor Sportsman Association, Recreation Sites and Trails BC, and the Four Wheel Drive Association of BC.
