Eshom Point appears to be a crude canvas roofed wood platform on a rock outcropping, just large enough for a fire-finder and an observer. The Tulare County Fire Department originally constructed the site which included a tent for the observer.
The lookout site operated from the mid-1930's to at lease 1959. Removal date is unknown. The rock foundation, just south of the current communications site may still be visible.
