Description

Junipero Serra Lookout was constructed on Santa Lucia Peak in 1935. A California Region 5 Plan BC-301 cabin stood atop a 30 foot K-Brace open steel tower. The lookout is referred to as 'Santa Lucia' in the 1988 "Lookouts of the Los Padres National Forest - Monterey Division" by Irma Oksen Reaves. The peak may be referred to by either name in various publications.

The tower remains, the cabin was removed at an unknown date.
