A cupola lookout house was completed and staffed on Mount Eddy in 1912. The site suffered from frequent severe storms, high winds and lightning strikes. Lookout operators were twice injured by building lightning strikes.
The original structure was replaced by a California Region 5 Plan 4A sometime in the 1920's. The removal date is unknown. A foundation still exists at the summit.
