Description
Spanish Peak had been a lookout site since 1907. A ground cabin was constructed some time before 1920.
A BC-201 Fireman-Lookout cabin was constructed to replace the older building in 1934. It was relocated slightly southeast and the older building remained for a period of time.
The BC-201 features a 270 degree view 'lookout room' for areas with restricted visibility.
The lookout structures were put up for sale and removed circa 1973.
