Thomas Mountain Lookout was built in 1935, an Aermotor 60 foot X-Brace open steel tower with a 7x7 observation only cabin on top. A BC-201 Fireman Lookout Cabin was provided as a residence for the operator.
The cabin was demolished and burned, the tower was dismantled and sold for scrap in 1973 after the structures were heavily vandalized.
The residence cabin foundation, stone wall work and access road remain.
