Wildland #2 Tower was an 80-foot Aermotor LS-40 tower built in 1937 by the Civilian Conservation Corps for the Kentucky Division of Forestry. The tower was originally located in what was then the Kentucky Woodlands National Wildlife Refuge, now part of the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.
Due to difficulties with road access and staff at its original site, the tower was relocated to along US 68/KY 80 around 1964. It still stands on its new location as the Bald Knob Tower. Clarence Gray of the Division of Forestry was part of the crew that helped move the tower to its new site.
