Description
Constructed in the early 1950s, Merryville Fire Tower is a steel Aermotor tower with 7' x 7' metal cab. Like the nearby Gordon Tower, it is maintained by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry for emergency fire detection to complement air surveillance.
It was removed by 2021.
