Description
A tower was erected on this site by the CCC in 1939. Pictures show a wooden tower approximately 30-to-40 feet high with a log-sided cabin featuring windows on all four sides. A trap door provided access from a wooden internal staircase.
There are no remnants of the tower as a radio tower and associated equipment building occupy the location of the old lookout. There are a couple benchmarks on the peak as well as what may be remnants of an old pit toilet to the NE of the tower location.
