Description
An 83 foot wooden tower with a 7'x7' cab and live-in ground house were built on the site in 1941. The lookout was damaged in the 1962 Columbus Day Storm. The lookout was destroyed in 1963 when it was decided that the Ted Gilbert Lookout would replace the Elk Rock Lookout.
