The lookout was a platform tower 30 feet tall using 3 trees cut and trimmed to that height and accessed using a ladder. A rag camp was near its base with the large rocks used to block wind from the fire ring still in place. Locals recognize this lookout as separate from Skalawag Ridge Lookout and there are supporting records. It may be, however, the patrol lookout used in conjunction with Skalawag Ridge Lookout.
