Description
Ventana Double Cone was built during 1935-36, a California Region 5 Plan BC-301 ground cabin. An Aircraft Warning System residence cabin was added in 1943 when the lookout was staffed 24/7 by a pair of operators.
The lookout was last staffed in the 1960's and was burned under mysterious circumstances in 1976 or 77.
